Frequently Asked Questions

1What materials can you work with?

We perform machining and metal processing across a wide range including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and engineering plastics.

2Do you manufacture to defense industry standards?

Yes, we rigorously apply the high quality standards and confidentiality protocols (such as MIL-STD) required by the sector throughout all our production processes.

3Do you provide design and engineering support?

We can manufacture according to technical drawings provided by our customers, and also offer solution partnership with our engineering team in design development, improvement and prototyping processes.

4How long does the quotation process take?

After technical drawings and specifications reach us, we typically submit our detailed quotation within 24 to 48 hours, depending on the complexity of the project.

5Do you have a minimum order quantity?

As Nuromet, we have a flexible production structure capable of responding to both low-volume precision prototype production and high-volume serial manufacturing requests.

6How does your quality control process work?

We work with a zero-defect vision, performing ISO-compliant intermediate checks at every stage of production and final quality control tests before shipment.

7How does the transition from prototype to serial production work?

We quickly carry out serial production planning for parts approved in the prototype phase. Thanks to our modern machine fleet, we deliver sustainable quality while adhering to delivery schedules on high-volume orders.

8What file formats do you accept for technical drawings?

We can work with STEP, DXF, DWG, SLDPRT and PDF files, which are widely used in design and production processes. We quickly analyze existing data and proceed to production planning.

9Do you perform reverse engineering on existing parts?

Yes, for parts that lack technical drawings or need to be replicated from a sample, we take precise measurements, create digital models and produce faithful reproductions.

10Do you perform powder coating and wet paint in-house?

Yes; we apply Electrostatic Powder Coating and Industrial Wet Paint processes in our own facility with professional equipment to enhance the corrosion resistance and aesthetic appearance of produced parts. We control the entire process from surface preparation to the final coat without outsourcing.

11Do you offer "rush manufacturing" support for urgent projects?

We are aware of critical downtime in the defense industry and production lines. Subject to schedule availability, we can provide priority production planning for urgent jobs with tight delivery deadlines.

12Do you manufacture assembled subassemblies?

Not only single-part production; we also complete the production and assembly of mechanical subassemblies formed by combining different parts, in accordance with technical specifications.

13Do you provide cost-reduction (DFM) suggestions during the design phase?

Yes, we don't just manufacture based on the drawing submitted to us. By performing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) analysis, we provide engineering recommendations on how to produce faster and more economically without compromising part quality.

14How does the sample approval process work for serial production?

For high-volume orders, we always produce a "first article" (First Article Inspection - FAI) before proceeding to serial production. After receiving technical and visual approval from you, we activate the entire line, reducing the risk of errors to zero.

15Do you provide material traceability?

We keep material certificates (such as 3.1 certificates) critical to defense and aviation projects on record. We can retrospectively document which heat and supplier the raw material used came from.

16How do you manage revision requests during the production process?

We have a flexible production plan against revisions that may arise in technical drawings while the project is ongoing. When a change request arrives, we analyze the situation on the production line and quickly adapt to the new design with minimum loss.

17Do you perform periodic machine maintenance and calibration tracking?

For the continuity of our production quality, we meticulously track the periodic maintenance of all our CNC machines and the annual calibrations of our measuring instruments by accredited organizations. We work with the principle of "well-maintained machinery ensures flawless parts."

18What equipment do you use for precision measurement and quality control?

We use calibrated calipers, micrometers and height gauges to verify conformity of manufactured parts to technical drawing tolerances. Every critical measurement is recorded in our quality control forms.

19How do you manage "squareness tolerance" and "burr" issues after laser cutting?

Against the risk of angular cut (squareness loss) that may occur as material thickness increases in laser cutting, we use material-specific focusing and gas pressure settings. After cutting, we inspect the surface quality and deliver parts clean of slag or sharp burrs.

20How do you calculate "spring-back" and "bend radius" in press brake bending?

We pre-calculate the reaction and spring-back allowances of different material groups (stainless, aluminum, mild steel) after bending with our advanced software. By selecting the appropriate tooling for the internal radius values specified in the technical drawing, we guarantee that no deviation occurs in the assembly dimensions and form of the part after bending.
